The Big Bang Fair, University of Essex 16th December 2014

Is Science Art ExhibitionTwenty white coats in the Art Exchange window,Attachments

My theme this year is creativity and the role it plays in science, engineering and technology as well as in the humanities. I ask the students to consider the similarities between artists and scientists.  Also the skills both disciplines engage in their work.  In particular the constant loop of thinking and doing.

The Big Bang Fair, University of Essex 16 & 17 December 2013. I will be exhibiting at this event in the Art Exchange Gallery at the University of Essex.  Click here for full information. The event is intended to promote science as a study pathway and possible career. I am included under the heading of ‘Fascinating and Unusual’.  The blending of art and science is evident in my practice and visitors will be asked to consider the similarities and distinctions in the two disciplines.

International Fascination in Plants Day.  A day of art and science at Colchester’s prestigious new art gallery Firstsite, click here for details.

Fantastic day, lots of visitors and fun.

Four student artists and four scientists provided a day of  intersting and stimulating activites for children and adults.

The ‘mosaic’ area in the gallery was lively and bursting in a varity of engaging things to do.

The overarching theme of the day was the importance of plants to us all, but delivered in a fun way.
